As the SiO2 in silica sol contains a large amount of water and hydroxyl groups, the silica sol can also be expressed as mSiO2.nH2O. There are different ways to prepare silica sols. The most commonly used methods are ion exchange, one-step hydrolysis of silica powder, silane hydrolysis, etc. Application: 1.
